Hiya! Bit late, its the 7th of June! Hope you are all well and enjoying this month with its mixed weather..... I have been really busy in our garden so have not done much in the way of sewing or jewellery making. And I have now reactivated my Folksy Shop which is the home of British handmade, great shops and no resellers! Same name.. Amberlillys Handmade, so if you can spare the time, be great to see you have a browse. folksy.com/shops/Amberlilly I do love my garden, i have quite a mature garden, (as an estate agent would describe it.) And its fairly large, which means if it gets out of hand, then you will regret ignoring it, which is my problem now. We had a lovely crop of grapes last year, but this year i have had to give the vines an enormous hair cut as they were getting way out of hand, and we have some little grapes forming already so, it obviously loves its situation! I'm in the south west of the U.K. and the weather is not too bad, and we don't normally get really bad weather, but we do get frosts. Though these are gone now we are in June. I am not a contemporary style gardener, i do love the natural easy going look. And I looove roses! Gardening is so good for the soul, it lifts your mood, and helps keep you fit. I used to have an allotment with a friend, but found we just never had enough time to give it the attention it needed, but its so rewarding. you are in a different frame of mind while you are tending to the soil. and what a great feeling when you are turning over the soil and the visiting Robin comes to say hi and helps itself to a little worm or 2.
Just wish this weather would make up its mind! We had a rainy few days and in the middle a taste of summer! Hahaha... oh well, that the British weather for you. Take care. Lin. |
